The basal foliage though is only about 60cm wide and bushy - the word giant really comes from the tall airy stems of flowers as in my garden the clumps of foliage are only about 50-60cm high with the flowers that float above the foliage

Geums have fabulous foliage and grow into an attractive mound and are equally as happy in the garden or a pot. They make a great ground cover or can be used to edge a path.
